A Disciplined Go-to-Market Strategy for a Lifestyle Community

Elephant Skin partnered with Stober Group to refine the positioning, narrative, and commercialization of Movala—aligning strategy, storytelling, and sales to support long-term value in a nature-driven residential market.

Crafted by Seasons.

Kelowna is shaped by the rhythm of the seasons. Movala is born from this understanding, repositioning the region as a place to live year-round—where each season adds value to daily life, community, and time well spent.

A Go-to-Market Case Built for Change

Kelowna has long been perceived as a seasonal destination, defined by summer use and short-term stays. Movala challenges this perception by reframing the region as a year-round place to live, grounded in nature, rhythm, and everyday quality of life. Elephant Skin structured the project’s positioning and go-to-market strategy to highlight continuity across seasons—showing that lifestyle, community, and value are sustained well beyond peak months.

LEARN TO LIVE, NOT JUST EXIST.

The story reflects a shift from a life defined by speed, productivity, and constant connection to one shaped by presence, balance, and intention. Moving to Movala is not portrayed as an escape, but as a recalibration—where ambition remains, yet no longer dictates every moment. It’s about rediscovering time, rebuilding daily rituals, and allowing space for relationships, nature, and personal fulfillment. The narrative reframes success not as constant motion, but as alignment—learning to live fully, rather than simply existing within the pace of modern life.

For the penthouses and kitchens, Elephant Skin went beyond architectural representation to compose scenes of everyday life. Rather than treating interiors as static spaces, we developed lifestyle vignettes that express how these environments are lived—morning rituals, shared meals, quiet moments, and natural light shaping the day. The result is an architectural narrative where design and use are inseparable, allowing buyers to understand not only the space itself, but the quality of life it enables.

From Playbook to Visual Language

A defined moodboard in the playbook set the tone for lighting, materiality, and atmosphere, ensuring visual consistency across the interior campaign. This approach aligned every image around the same mood and lifestyle narrative, creating a coherent and recognizable visual language throughout the project.

Elephant Skin’s design approach was grounded in a study of how seasons shape life in Kelowna—defined by the interaction between mountains, valley, and lake. These elements influence light, temperature, color, and daily rhythms throughout the year. By mapping how each season affects the site and its surroundings, we translated environmental patterns into visual tone, mood, and atmosphere. The result is a campaign crafted by the seasons, where imagery, lighting, and narrative reflect the natural cycles that define life at Movala.

A Platform-Driven Sales Gallery

Elephant Skin designed a tailored sales center experience for Movala, combining a custom E_SC application displayed on an L-shaped LED panel with BEES as the core sales platform. The result is a guided, immersive journey that aligns narrative, technology, and commercial clarity.

A Cohesive Brand and Campaign System

Elephant Skin developed Movala’s branding materials and campaign as a single, integrated system—ensuring that narrative, visual language, and physical assets spoke with one voice. From printed materials to digital touchpoints, every element was designed to reinforce recognition, clarity, and emotional alignment with the target audience. This consistency allowed the campaign to move beyond awareness, supporting sales velocity and encouraging organic conversation around the project. Rather than relying on isolated moments, the work built a recognizable presence that helped the market identify Movala as a distinct, credible, and desirable place to live.

"Working with Elephant Skin on our MOVALA project has been nothing short of transformative. From brand strategy to renderings, virtual tours, and even the design of our Presentation Gallery, every single detail was meticulously thought through and beautifully executed. MOVALA isn’t just a project anymore; it’s a success story.”

Movala illustrates how a lifestyle-driven vision, when guided by a disciplined go-to-market system, can evolve into sustained long-term value. By aligning positioning, narrative, visual language, and sales experience from the outset, the project was structured not as a seasonal destination, but as a year-round place to live. For Elephant Skin, Movala represents an approach to real estate commercialization rooted in clarity, continuity, and an understanding of time—where seasonality becomes a strategic asset and long-term living defines value.

Movala

Movala is a residential community in the Okanagan region designed around year-round connection to nature and a lifestyle rooted in calm, balance, and permanence. Originally launched in 2022, the project entered a new phase under renewed leadership, creating the opportunity to clarify positioning and strengthen its long-term commercial strategy.

Elephant Skin partnered with the developer as an integrated go-to-market advisor, supporting this transition by refining Movala’s narrative and aligning communication with the true value of the asset. The objective was not to reinvent the project, but to elevate perception and reinforce Movala as a lifestyle choice rather than a seasonal destination.

The work began with a full commercialization playbook, defining audience hierarchy, competitive positioning, and a core narrative centered on the authentic Okanagan lifestyle. Strategy focused on continuity and clarity, preserving the project’s history while framing its evolution as a natural progression.

From this foundation, Elephant Skin developed the positioning system, messaging architecture, content strategy, and high-performance visual assets—structured as a single sales and conversion framework. The result is a more disciplined, cohesive market presence that supports buyer confidence, consistent absorption, and long-term value.

  • Elephant Skin supported Movala with a strategic reset of its go-to-market approach, reassessing market context, audience hierarchy, and competitive positioning following a change in leadership. The objective was to strengthen long-term absorption by aligning pricing, messaging, and market timing with the project’s true value, moving away from short-term tactics toward a more disciplined and sustainable commercial strategy.

  • The project’s positioning was refined to clarify Movala’s identity as a year-round lifestyle community rooted in nature, balance, and permanence. Elephant Skin structured a clear narrative system that preserved the project’s history while elevating perception, translating its evolution into a coherent story used consistently across marketing, sales, and communication touchpoints.

  • Elephant Skin helped develop the experience strategy for Movala’s sales gallery, defining how the project is presented both physically and digitally. This included structuring the presentation flow, integrating technology within the space, and designing a platform-based experience that guides buyers through the narrative, product offering, and decision process. BEES supports this journey as the central platform for presenting units, floor plans, and key sales content.

  • Visual and content assets were developed as part of a broader conversion system, supporting clarity, credibility, and buyer confidence. Rather than cosmetic rebranding, Elephant Skin focused on producing high-performance visuals and content aligned with the new positioning, ensuring all materials functioned as commercial tools within the sales process.

  • Elephant Skin structured the project’s market re-entry with a focus on continuity and credibility, aligning messaging, content, and sales tools to support ongoing conversations rather than a single launch moment. The approach prioritized consistency across channels, equipping sales teams with clear narratives and assets designed to support informed decision-making and sustained market presence.
