We specialize in crafting sophisticated and uniquely creative storytelling, 3D renderings, animations, and films specially tailored to a property’s life cycle.

 

Our team comprises 90 talented people, among architects, 3D artists, designers, landscape architects, client managers, graphic designers, and real estate professionals, located in more than 20 different locations worldwide.

 

We have helped organizations meet their project marketing goals and currently have operations in Miami, Los Angeles, Vancouver, New York, São Paulo, Curitiba, and Shanghai.

The Senior 3D Artist is a confident artist who produces images with a high level of complexity, considering a high level of details and information and is a reference for the team in artistic and technical questions. Ability to organize production in the absence of the Product Owner.

Responsibilities

· Responsible for combining geometry from different sources (architecture and furniture) following a proposed layout in a single and organized file;

· Distribute accessories in the scene to enhance the composition and highlight the storytelling;

· Propose camera candidates using the appropriate framing techniques according to the message to be delivered;

· Correct use of Displacement maps and Displacement optimization;

· Map surfaces to apply textures using UVW mapping techniques and the Real-World Map Size approach;

· Unwrap geometry with low to medium complexity;

· Produce adjustments using Adobe Photoshop in order to improve the overall quality of the scene;

· Replace the backplate photography in the scenes considering correct perspective and light;

· Attend to team gatherings to discuss the progress and distribution of tasks;

· Master Corona renderer and its tools (Corona randomizer, Corona distance, Triplanar, Albedo, etc.);

· Clear understanding of render elements and their applications in post-production;

· Organize files to automate Light Mix lights organization (considering RAM optimization);

· Scene optimization (texture resolutions, Quixel Megascans, displacement, number of lights, etc..);

· Best practices regarding geometry (proxies, Xrefs, chamfers, turbosmooth, etc.);

· Lighting the scene with realism by providing appropriate lighting techniques, being able to light paint, and using theatrical lighting techniques when necessary;

· Work in the production of lower complexity scenes with minimum supervision;

· Produce adjustments using Adobe Photoshop using blend modes and other editing tools;

· Be innovative, with an eye for the whole and the detail;

· Monitor and guide Intermediate and Junior artists, helping them to achieve best results and grow in their careers;

· Create complex and unusual materials with a great level of accuracy and fidelity to references;

· Proficiency in Post-production techniques (creating and editing textures, masks, etc.);

· Master production of 360 images and how to create virtual tours;

· Preparation of the flight plan for drone photography;

· Solve complex problems that may arise during projects;

· Master advanced post-production techniques;

· Create highly complex realistic materials with a great level of accuracy and fidelity to references;

· Work on the images in order to replicate any proposed mood;

· Manage Renderfarm team usage.

 

Skill/Experience

· 1+ year of experience as an Upper Intermediate 3D Artist;

· Adaptability and an enthusiasm for continuous learning;

· Knowledge of 3dsMax viewport navigation and shortcuts;

· Knowledge of poly modeling to produce, adjust, and refine clean models of common architectural elements;

· Self-motivate and takes challenges with minimum direction, with the ability to see when something needs to be done and react accordingly;

· Ability to self-motivate while operating effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment;

· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude;

· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices;

· Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks;

· Ability to present ideas in friendly language;

· Must be able to read technical drawings and information;

· Knowledge of Corona lights and Photometric IES lights;

· Knowledge of Corona Sun and Sky;

· Knowledge of HDRI usage;

· Knowledge of DOF and motion blur techniques using lens settings in 3ds max;

· Advanced post-production techniques (people placement, other elements compositing);

· Be able to work in complex scenes with minimum supervision;

· Ability to work on photomontages, aligning cameras to the photographs (camera match);

· Create complex and unusual materials with a great level of accuracy and fidelity to references;

· Develop lighting solutions with a high level of complexity and clear light hierarchy proposition;

· Advanced knowledge of Forest Pack tools - Elephant Skin´s workflow

· Advanced unwrap techniques;

· Knowledge of VFX techniques will be considered a plus (Chaos Phoenix FD, Marvelous Designer);

· Ability to work on several projects simultaneously;

· Artistic sensitivity;

· Ability to lead the team in the absence of the Product Owner of the team

· Raw photo editing.
