why Elephant Skin.
Elephant Skin was born with a post-it. By the way, this is the original one.
We don't know if you ever had a chance to move to a different city, country, maybe a school when you were a kid.
We had!
And the truth is it doesn't matter who you are. It will be difficult 100% of the time. You need to reset, adept multiple times, and start from square one. You will meet new people, develop new skills, understand new cultures, doubt yourself, and learn to be entirely open to uncertainty.
In 2015, our COO, Giovana, started to work for a well-known landscape architecture firm in Miami, US, and putting aside all the happiness to join the company, things were not all flowers and rainbows. We worked, and worked, and worked, and there were some days that it seemed it didn't matter how strong you were and how good your
intentions were. Things simply didn't happen.
During one of those tough days, Gi's ex-boss came to her with THE post-it, put it on her screen, and said:
"You need this. You need to develop your Elephant Skin. Focus and keep moving forward".
When the time came, we needed to decide how we would call the greatest company in the world, and Elephant Skin fit like a glove.
That makes us remember every single fuck%$# day that the world is challenging, life can be unfair, but we are Elephants.
We remember every day where we came from. We are made of stories, which is why we are who we are, and that's how we will be what we want to be.

We got to a certain point where growth in the external eyes didn't guide us, and we needed to feel that we were really growing. That was when we started looking inside, and we saw people.
People of different classes, colors, beliefs, styles, desires, and dreams. That was the secret.
Simple right? PEOPLE.
If we had to focus on the inside, we needed to understand these people, what motivated them, where they wanted to go. When we started to hear their stories, we gained strength as those stories multiplied and inspired others.

We shout out to the winds that we created Wow Stories and sell projects with a soul. We realized that we were practicing Soul to Soul instead of practicing B2B, B2C, C2C. We created something real so that we could feel the growth.
We always believe that geography is unfair, we didn't choose to be born, much less where we were born, and does that mean we can't be badass?
