As the Human and Development Development (HOD) Assistant you will primarily be responsible for providing administrative support to the Human and Development Development (HOD) Assistant staff by performing various activities including filing, data entry, or answering routine questions on HOD policies and procedures. You will also be able to develop and maintain relationships with different departments.

HR Assistant primary responsibilities
/Help with new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons;
/Assist with day to day operations of the HOD functions and duties;
/Maintain personnel records, in compliance with HOD regulations;
/Make sure all employee records are filed correctly and kept confidential;
/Coordinate HOD projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes;
/Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations;
/Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures;
/Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface;
/Strengthen the brand in every conversation, email, and interaction;
Recruitment and selection:
/Assist with recruiting and hiring efforts;
/Organize, maintain and update employee HRIS information as needed;
/Assist in contacting applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration and selection.
Training and development:
/Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews;
/Support HOD department in educating employees on and enforcing company policies;
/Present any new or additional training materials to employees;
Manualization and procedures:
/Compile reports from personnel databases;
/Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc);
Onboarding and offboarding:
/Process onboarding documents and new employee orientations;
/Interpret HOD policies and regulations for employees;
/1+ years of relevant experience in HOD work;
/Advanced verbal and written English language skills;
/Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking;
/Good time-management skills;
/Ability to handle stressful situations;
/Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed;
/Ability to follow directions accurately and without hesitation;
/Proficient computer skills, i.e. Google Suite;
/Ability to appropriately prioritize work and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment;
/Highly detail oriented with strong analytic, problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
